My daily program (what I do daily to keep sober)

 Every morning I wake up to the sounds of birds chirping. The sun is usually half risen. I use the bathroom and open the shades on my way back to bed. This way, I enjoy a little snooze but the natural sunlight steals my eyes' urge to close pretty quickly. I find this is the only way to force my eyes to embrace the day ahead and it actually feels really good. If I don't open the shades, my eyes will want to keep sleeping. Right around this time, I start to meditate, which is to say: I actively use my thoughts to get closer to my higher power (Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out - Step 11). The U.S. stock market is more volatile than your girl when you ask her what she wants to eat. Donald Trump is President. There hasn't been a classic movie made since No Country For Old Men. Adam Sandler is basically a senior citizen. Tyra Banks is IRRELEVANT. Leo Messi and LeBron James are about to retire. People get their news from TikTok. A Happy Meal at McDonalds costs like 15 bucks. Almost everything we own was made in China by modern day slaves. The highest income earners in the world sit at home alone streaming on computers while others sit at home alone watching. All women are whores. All men are rapists. Parents are more worried about their kids getting shot at school than coming home with a tattoo. Introduction

Hello and welcome to Big Book Blog AA (BBBLOGAA) WHAT WILL I FIND ON THIS WEBSITE? Anonymous sober musings in written form, similar to those in the back of the Big Book or ramblings you might hear at a speaker meeting, but different because there is no filter here. MISSION: To give people an open forum to share their sobriety stories/writings/ideas with zero judgement, gatekeeping, or time limits while staying completely anonymous . GOAL: To help ourselves and others stay sober. RULES: Every story submission must include at least one quote from the Big Book or 12 & 12 (paraphrasing is accepted).
